Osteopath M.Ost, DO, ND

Art studied at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London gaining his Master’s degree in Osteopathic Medicine and a Diploma in Naturopathy.

Art (short for Artur) is Polish. He moved to Christchurch in 2016 and worked in Merivale before opening Cashmere Osteo in May 2022.

Art uses a hands-on structural approach to his osteopathy treatments and treats everyone from babies to grandparents. He has a particular interest in obstetrics and women’s health and works closely with Oxford Women’s Health at Forte.

He recently gave a lecture on women’s pelvic pain to a group of NZ doctors.

Patients love Art’s great listening skills, his calm and thoughtful approach to treatment, and his consideration of their individual needs.

Before becoming an osteopath Art practiced and trained as a yoga teacher in India for 2 years. He will often recommend to his patients tailored exercises and stretches which will help to speed up their recovery. During his treatments, he likes to identify the source of the problem and work on preventing it from reoccurring. He also challenges himself by keeping up to date with the latest osteopathic research and evidence-based techniques to ensure the highest standard of care.

Outside of work, Art can grow just about anything from seed. He enjoys tending to the clinic’s beehive and encouraging insects and birds into the recovery garden at the back of the clinic.
